Jerome Bailey Jr. is the Communications Specialist for Compassion Society Benefits. He leverages his creative storytelling techniques, technical skills and knowledge, leadership abilities and alternative teaching experiences to foster an authentic, compelling and inspiring image to the general public and the organization’s community alike.  
Before joining our team, Bailey was an award-winning journalist and brand creative leader.

He recently directed and produced the winning "When We All Vote" campaign video chosen by Michelle Obama bringing national media coverage to Houston Independent School District. Bailey has reported news for the Associated Press, The Washington Post, The Grio, The-CW, the New York Amsterdam News and a host of others as a freelance video producer, reporter and writer after earning his master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York City.  

Bailey has also produced social media campaigns with well-known companies including BET, Shell, Louis Vuitton owned luxury brands, educational organizations, K-12 schools, and universities. He taught journalism at Houston Baptist University and he travels globally and locally teaching storytelling workshops, serving crowds as a panelist, and featured speaker primarily speaking as an authority on storytelling, media, mental health and faith. He loves poetry, spending time with his family and thrifting.
